Meet the Cognitive Functions

Description

Making their creative debut on my resume are the Cognitive Functions.  I have plans to turn these guys into an animation and do a series of short animated adventures with each of them to show off their characteristics.  At some point I may upload them without shadows and make them available for public use.

The Perceiving Functions:

:bulletyellow:Ne - Extroverted iNtuition
Ne is highly imaginative, full of ideas, and very easily distracted.  She has a hard time settling on just one idea or goal because there's just so much out there to be explored.  She can see multiple paths to the future, and she is eternally optimistic about it.  Others sometimes complain about her flightiness and lack of attentiveness, but it's only because she has multiple ideas going on in her mind at once.

:bulletyellow:Ni - Introverted iNtuition
Ni is very focused, preferring to deal with one thing at a time.  When he makes a plan, he sticks to it, and may have a hard time accepting the ideas of others.  He has a gut instinct that goes above and beyond any of the other Functions, and takes great pride in his intuitive knowledge of what works what doesn't.

:bulletred:Se - Extroverted Sensing
Se is a wild child, preferring to live in the here and now.  History bores him, and the future does not concern him.  He is very alert and aware of the world around him, and loves to immerse himself in experiences that appeal to his five senses.  His heightened awareness makes it difficult for others to surprise him, so he tends to seek out his own thrills.  He is very good at surprising others, however, and takes great joy in it.

:bulletred:Si - Introverted Sensing
Si is the most nostalgic of the Functions, and others have accused her of living too much in the past.  But all agree that she has the best memory by far, able to recall minute details long after the others have forgotten an event.  She is highly skilled in pattern recognition, and uses the patterns she sees in the past to chart her course for the future.  She is a strong believer in the adage, "Those who don't learn their history are doomed to repeat it."

The Judging Functions:

:bulletblue:Te - Extroverted Thinking
Te is the king of logic, and the most natural leader of the Functions.  While he is not afraid to use others as a sounding board for his thoughts, he often dismisses the input of others as "unreasonable."  He is highly organized, efficient and motivated.  Some have called him cold and callous, and he does struggle with taking others' feelings into account.  But the other Functions agree that he is the best suited to lead.

:bulletblue:Ti - Introverted Thinking
Ti is the tinkerer.  She is very analytical, delighting in dissecting an idea or object.  Because of her tendency to analyze everything, she can come across as obsessive, intrusive, or even cold.  She is a nerd and is proud of it.  She is prone to randomly correcting people, even when it appears she was not listening to what they were saying.  She is the queen of snark, with a dry wit one can shave with, if one doesn't mind razor burn.

:bulletgreen:Fe - Extroverted Feeling
Fe is the caretaker Function.  She is the epitome of empathy, and is the most compassionate of the Functions.  She can best understand what another is going through, even if she herself has never encountered a similar struggle.  She is a rock, able to put her own feelings aside in order to shoulder another's feelings.  Some have said she needs to learn to give others their space.  She also struggles sometimes with trying to bear too many emotional burdens.

:bulletgreen:Fi - Introverted Feeling
Fi is the idealist, operating as the moral compass of the Functions.  He lives by an internal code which he will not compromise.  He is also a very sympathetic and compassionate individual, and an emotional chameleon.  He is able to compare his own experiences to those of others, thus allowing him to help others through emotional pain.  Because he logs every emotion he feels, he is able to switch emotions on cue.
